A Letter from Founder and CEO of SnooCODE, Sesinam Dagadu

Figure 1. I left my laptop at the ministry. We went back to pick it up. The lights were out, and we came across this refuse collector reading by torchlight. Interesting that at this very moment, he was reading about how SnooCODE can impact sanitation in Liberia.

Dear Friends, Partners, and the People of Liberia,

The SnooCODE team is filled with immense gratitude and pride following the momentous launch of Liberia’s National Digital & Postal Addressing System (NDPAS) in Monrovia, Liberia, on April 25th, 2023. This pioneer technology is laying the foundation for unprecedented economic growth and development in Liberia.

We were deeply honoured to have the Ambassador of Ghana to Liberia, H.E. Kwabena Okubi-Appiah, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Liberia, Michael A. McCarthy, and the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of Liberia, Cllr. Cooper Kruah, Sr., along with their dedicated team in attendance at the event. They all highlighted the significance of this ground-breaking occasion, stating that Liberia now boasts the most advanced and accurate addressing system in the world. The Liberia Postal team's inspiring tagline, "rain or shine, mail must go," reflects their unwavering commitment to connecting people across the nation.

H.E. Okubi Appiah praised the Public-Private Partnership that made this project possible at no cost to the Liberian people. Liberia’s NDPAS, a result of this extraordinary partnership, is a true game-changer. It promises to transform lives and businesses by offering a simple-to-use, highly accurate, and reliable addressing system. With accuracy down to ±25cm for certain specialist applications like flying drones, the NDPAS ensures a level of precision that is unmatched anywhere else in the world.

One of the most inspirational and democratising aspects of the NDPAS is that it provides equal access to precise addresses for everyone, regardless of their status or location. A grandmother living in a remote village now has an address that is just as precise as that of the President of the Republic. This powerful notion speaks to the core values of equality, accessibility, and inclusivity that the NDPAS represents.

Key features of the NDPAS include:

1. Simplicity: With an easy-to-use interface, even those with limited technological expertise can effortlessly navigate the system.

2. Offline Functionality: The NDPAS works offline, ensuring that users in remote areas or without access to the internet can still benefit from this ground-breaking technology.

3. Optimized Delivery Costs: By streamlining and optimizing delivery routes, the NDPAS has the potential to reduce the overall cost of deliveries, thereby stimulating local businesses and the economy

4. Digital Signatures: To prevent falsification, the NDPAS allows for digital signatures, ensuring the authenticity and security of transactions.

 5. Integration with Drones and Vehicles: NDPAS is future-proofed by being compatible with drones and vehicles, making it an essential tool for a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

We are excited to announce that Liberia’s NDPAS app is available for download via the SnooCODE app on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. With the app, users can generate a code anywhere on Liberian soil or territorial waters. Download the SnooCODE app on your preferred platform today:

As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we call on the general public, individuals, international development agencies, and the private sector to rally behind this project and support it financially and in kind. Together, we can help Liberia leapfrog developed countries and create a brighter future for all its citizens.

The NDPAS is not just a digital addressing system; it is a catalyst for change, an enabler of progress, and a beacon of hope for the people of Liberia. By embracing this technology, we can unlock countless economic and developmental opportunities that will elevate the lives of ordinary Liberians and propel the nation forward.

Let's all come together and champion this ground-breaking innovation as we embark on a new journey of progress and prosperity for Liberia.

Together, we can make a difference. Let's embrace the NDPAS and create a better tomorrow for Liberia, where everyone, from the President to the grandmother in the village, can benefit from the same level of precision in addressing. This powerful tool will help bridge the gap between urban and rural communities, fostering a more connected and inclusive society.

Join us in this mission to support the growth and development of Liberia through the unparalleled power of the National Digital & Postal Addressing System (NDPAS).

Warm Regards,

Sesinam Dagadu
