Numerical Analyst Job Description:

SnooCODE Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated Numerical Analyst to join its team. The Numerical Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing, and testing mathematical algorithms to enhance the accuracy and speed of the company's geocoding software, SnooCODE.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and test mathematical algorithms and models for geocoding systems

  • Conduct research on new mathematical techniques and algorithms

  • Test and validate mathematical models to ensure accuracy and performance

  • Conduct data analysis to optimize geocoding algorithms and data structures

  • Collaborate with software development and data teams to integrate mathematical models into geocoding systems

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices

  • Monitor and analyse system performance to identify areas for improvement

  • Communicate findings and recommendations to team members and stakeholders

  • Stay current with new mathematical techniques and tools relevant to geocoding systems

Requirements:

  • Completed or currently pursuing a Master's degree or a PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Strong experience in numerical analysis, including experience with optimization and statistical methods

  • Strong programming skills, including proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, Java, and Kotlin

  • General knowledge of computational mathematics

  • Experience with data structures and algorithms for geocoding or related field

  • Knowledge of geospatial data and geocoding systems

  • Competencies in data science

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
